April Wallace
Ms. Wallace is the library media specialist at Pelham Park. She holds the following degrees: undergraduate degree (B.A.) from Jacksonville State University, Master's degree (M.L.I.S) from University of Alabama, and Educational Specialist (EdS) degree from University of West Alabama. She has been a librarian for over 15 years, and has just completed her 7th year as a school librarian. Before coming to PPMS she was the director of a public library. Ms. Wallace lives in Pelham with her family and 5 cats. Coffee, dark chocolate, music, and books (of course!) are some of her favorite things.
Ms. Wallace was very honored to be recognized as the 2018-2019 PPMS Teacher of the Year. Our school library was also chosen as the 2019 Alabama School Library of the Year by the Alabama School Library Association!
In addition to managing the library, teaching classes, and overseeing our student library aides, Ms. Wallace runs book club, serves as yearbook advisor, and is the school's website administrator. In the 2024-2025 school year, she is serving on the Hospitality Committee and Budget Committee.
