January is School Board Recognition Month, and we’re grateful for the leadership and service of our Pelham City Schools Board of Education. Our board members dedicate countless hours to listening, learning, and making thoughtful decisions that help guide our school system forward.

Pelham City Schools will return to our normal school schedule on Tuesday, January 27. As temperatures remain cold this week, please ensure students are dressed warmly for bus stops and outdoor transitions. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school tomorrow.
Due to freezing temperatures and the possibility of hazardous winter road conditions, Pelham City Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26. All schools and school-related activities will be closed.
The Board of Education meeting originally scheduled for January 26 has been rescheduled to Monday, February 2, at 6:30 p.m. at Pelham Park Middle School.

This is the first time yearbooks have been available for purchase this year. This pre-sale will be open until April 3rd.
The cost is $55 and payment can be made through My School Bucks, or students can bring cash or check to Ms. Wallace in the library.

Attention 8th grade: Parents and students, mark your calendars! Curriculum Night will be at Pelham High School on Thursday, 1/29 at 6pm.
The PPMS Talent Show will be held on Friday, January 16th! Tickets are $3 and may be purchased in the gym before school or on My School Bucks until Thursday morning. All funds will go to supporting the Choir program.
There is no cost for parents/guardians to attend.

Dance Pick-Up Details:
To help keep traffic flowing safely on campus and in coordination with the City of Pelham, we will be using assigned pick-up times by grade level for the After-School Dance.
Pick-Up Times:
6th Grade: 5:00 PM
7th Grade: 5:15 PM
8th Grade: 5:30 PM
Families with Multiple Students: Please arrive during the pick-up time for your oldest child.
Traffic Flow:
Pick-up will follow the regular morning and afternoon carline pattern. It will be dark outside. Please be extra cautious and courteous. Pay close attention to the traffic assistants on the route.
All traffic will be routed through the parking lot across from PPMS. Make two lanes. The outside lane should follow the outside parking spaces. The inside lane should stay close to the inside parking spaces.
Stay in your lane the whole way. Merge only after you pass the last traffic assistant holding the big, tall stop/slow sign.
Please help us in our effort to be good neighbors and partners with The City of Pelham. Do not park at the City Library or the Pelham Rec Center to pick up your child. Please go through the carpool line. Thank you for helping us ensure a safe and smooth dismissal for all students!
